Zaidal & Yasmeen
Old-California romance under a canopy of light. Press play, sound on.
The way it felt.
Serra Plaza has a way of turning an evening soft, string lights and crystal chandeliers strung tree to tree over an old adobe courtyard, the fountain at its center banked in roses. Zaidal and Yasmeen's day lived in that glow.
It moved with an easy, celebratory warmth: a first look, portraits in the mission ruins next door, and a recessional back through a courtyard full of the people who love them. We filmed it close and unhurried, and let the venue's romance carry the frame.
On Serra Plaza.
Serra Plaza is a Spanish-style courtyard venue in the historic Los Rios district of San Juan Capistrano, steps from the old mission. Its open-air adobe courtyard, with arched walls, mature trees, and a central tiled fountain, is famous for one thing above all: the canopy of fairy lights and crystal chandeliers strung tree to tree that turns the whole space golden after dark. The light here is warm and forgiving, and there is romance built into every corner. For portraits, we walk a few steps to the Mission San Juan Capistrano, where the stone ruins and hollyhock gardens give a film its most timeless frames. We plan every Serra Plaza wedding film around that glow. If you are marrying here, we know exactly where the light will be.
