01The Day

The way it felt.

Royal Palms saves its best light for the end of the day, when the sun drops behind Camelback and the desert goes warm and the old estate turns gold. Billy and Kelly's film was always going to end there, on the cobblestones under the palms.

Everything before it earned that ending: a day that moved at its own unhurried pace, warm and easy, guests drifting between the courtyard and the long stone colonnade, a couple who let the day be exactly what it was. We filmed it the same way, patiently, with the estate's light always in the frame.

02Filming at Royal Palms Resort & Spa

On Royal Palms.

Royal Palms Resort and Spa is a 1948 Spanish Colonial estate set at the foot of Camelback Mountain in Phoenix, Arizona, all hand-laid stone, terracotta walls, and mature date palms that line the entry drive like columns. The Sonoran light runs warm and low here, and the golden hour off the desert turns the whole property amber. We plan every Royal Palms wedding film around that last hour of the day, the palm colonnade at sunset, the courtyards holding shadow, Camelback glowing behind it all. If you are marrying here, we know exactly where to be when the estate turns gold.
