The way it felt.
Brandon and Julie married on a private bluff above the ocean in Carpinteria, under a chuppah built out of what looked like an entire summer of flowers. The colour of that day is the thing we remember.
It was a big, warm, loud celebration held in a very quiet place: eucalyptus on the edges, the Pacific hazing out behind, and a lawn full of people who clearly adore them. We filmed it close, and let the coast sit wide behind it.

Carpinteria is the quiet stretch of coast between Ventura and Santa Barbara, and its private estates sit on bluffs with long, unbroken ocean views. This one gave the day a clean horizon, mature eucalyptus for shade and framing, and the soft marine light the Santa Barbara coast is known for, where the haze off the water diffuses the sun and flatters everyone standing in it. Private estates are our favourite kind of coastal wedding to film, because the property is yours for the day and nothing has to be worked around. Do you film weddings at Carpinteria?
Yes. Carpinteria is one of our favorite stretches of the California coast, and we know it well, from the bluff lawn and its ocean horizon to the eucalyptus that frame the edges. As a Carpinteria wedding videographer we plan the day around the soft marine light off the Santa Barbara Channel, so your wedding film feels the way the day actually felt. We are a Los Angeles based studio and film up the coast through Ventura, Carpinteria and Santa Barbara regularly.

Is there a difference between a wedding film and a wedding video?

Will we notice you during the day?
Barely, and that is the point. We film the day as it actually unfolds rather than staging it, staying close but out of the way, so you are present for your wedding instead of performing for a camera. Most couples tell us they forgot we were filming until they watched their wedding film.
