Where we film · San Diego

San Diego, down the coast.

The brightest coastline in California, and part of our home range. How we film it, what it costs, and how to check your date.

Notes on filming the coast

San Diego gives a film the most generous coastal light in the state. The marine layer arrives most mornings and leaves most afternoons, and what follows is bright, clean, and forgiving, hour after hour of it. Sea cliffs, harbors, and gardens all face that western water, so an evening ceremony here ends the way films are supposed to end: with the light going gold over the Pacific.

San Diego is part of our home range. We plan it the way we plan Los Angeles: scout first, protect the last hour of light, and let the day move at its own pace.

The nearest films

The closest chapters in the archive sit just up the coast: Zaidal & Yasmeen in San Juan Capistrano, and Jeremy & Lauren on the sand at Santa Monica. Coastal ceremonies, ocean light, vows recorded clean over the surf. That is exactly the craft a San Diego wedding asks for.

The San Diego chapter of the archive is still being written. If you are marrying here, it could open with your film.

Questions, answered

How much does a wedding videographer cost in San Diego?

San Diego pricing tracks the greater Southern California market: roughly $1,500 at the entry level to $15,000 and beyond for full luxury production. Our collections run $6,000 to $10,000, published plainly on our pricing page.

Do you actually film in San Diego?

Yes. San Diego is part of our home range alongside Los Angeles and Orange County. Tell us your venue and we will arrive having scouted it, the same preparation every Rayne wedding gets.

How do you record vows on the water?

With redundancy. Discreet lavalier microphones on the officiant and the vows, dressed for wind, plus a backup recorder. The ocean reads as texture in the finished film, and every word stays clean.

How soon after the wedding do we receive our film?

The full film arrives in about 8 to 12 weeks. The Portrait and The Legacy collections also include a cinematic teaser that lands much sooner.
