Kevin & Maya
Seven acres of garden above Santa Barbara. Press play, sound on.

The way it felt.
Belmond El Encanto sits up on the Santa Barbara Riviera, seven acres of terraced garden looking down over the city and out at the Pacific. Kevin and Maya's day stayed in those gardens, and the gardens did most of the work.
It moved at an unhurried, easy pace: brick paths winding between white bungalows, dappled light through old trees, and a view that opens up every time you turn a corner. We filmed it close and quiet, and let the property breathe.
On Belmond El Encanto.
Belmond El Encanto is a hillside hotel on the Santa Barbara Riviera, seven acres of terraced gardens and Craftsman bungalows looking down over the city and out to the Pacific. What makes it film so well is the layering: brick paths winding between white cottages, a trellised arbor, mature trees throwing dappled light, and the historic Lily Pond sitting quiet in the middle of it. The gardens face the ocean, so the late afternoon arrives soft and warm through the leaves instead of flat and hard, and there is shade to work in when the sun is still high. We plan every Belmond El Encanto wedding film around that garden light, and around the view that opens up at the top of the property.
