01The Day

The way it felt.

Portraits happened on the property's tiled Spanish steps, palm trees overhead, their newborn wrapped in white and their dog wearing a floral collar for the occasion. It set the tone for a day that felt genuinely like family before anything else.

The reception that followed had toasts running warm and long, and by the time the dancing started the whole room was on its feet. We stayed close to the two of them and let the night carry itself.

02Filming at Estancia La Jolla

On Estancia La Jolla.

Estancia La Jolla is a Spanish Colonial property in coastal San Diego County, hacienda-style architecture with tiled steps, arched niches, and mature palms throughout the grounds. The warm stucco and terracotta tile give portraits a genuinely Californian character without needing much added styling, and the property's covered walkways make it a reliable choice regardless of what the coastal weather is doing.

QWedding Film & Video, Answered
Do you film weddings at Estancia La Jolla?

Yes. We've filmed at Estancia La Jolla and know the property, from where the light is best to how the day moves from ceremony to reception. As a wedding videographer who works across California we plan the coverage around the venue itself, so the film feels specific to where you got married, not generic.

How much does a wedding videographer cost in La Jolla?

Our wedding films range from $6,000 for The Moment to $10,000 for The Legacy, our most complete collection. Every collection includes a full cinematic wedding film plus a custom wedding website. You can see everything on our Collections page.

How soon do we get our wedding film?

Your full cinematic wedding film is delivered in about 8 to 12 weeks. Our two larger collections, The Portrait and The Legacy, also include a shorter teaser, delivered sooner so you have something to share while the full film is edited.

Is there a difference between a wedding film and a wedding video?

We'd say yes. A wedding video is a record of what happened. A wedding film is edited with intention, pacing, and your actual vows and speeches woven through it, so it plays more like a short film than a highlight reel. That's what we make.

Will we notice you during the day?

Barely, and that's the point. We film the day as it actually unfolds rather than staging it, staying close but out of the way, so you're present for your wedding instead of performing for a camera. Most couples tell us they forgot we were filming until they watched the film back.
