Brandon & Julie
Wildflower color on an ocean bluff. Press play, sound on.

The way it felt.
Brandon and Julie married on a private bluff above the ocean in Carpinteria, under a chuppah built out of what looked like an entire summer of flowers. The color of that day is the thing we remember.
It was a big, warm, loud celebration held in a very quiet place: eucalyptus on the edges, the Pacific hazing out behind, and a lawn full of people who clearly adore them. We filmed it close, and let the coast sit wide behind it.
On Carpinteria.
Carpinteria is the quiet stretch of coast between Ventura and Santa Barbara, and its private estates sit on bluffs with long, unbroken ocean views. This one gave the day a clean horizon, mature eucalyptus for shade and framing, and the soft marine light the Santa Barbara coast is known for, where the haze off the water diffuses the sun and flatters everyone standing in it. Private estates are our favorite kind of coastal wedding to film, because the property is yours for the day and nothing has to be worked around. If you are marrying on the Carpinteria coast, we know how that light behaves from noon to sunset.
