Notes on the light
The Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills is one of the more classic garden-ceremony settings we film in the city. Mature landscaping gives the property a genuinely private feel despite sitting in the middle of Los Angeles, and the hotel's signature rose-lined aisle is a processional that needs no dressing to read on camera.
The spaces, and how they film
The Rose-Lined Aisle. Rows of white roses run the full length of the ceremony aisle, a signature look for the property, and the reason a wide frame straight down the aisle carries the whole ceremony here.
The Garden Ceremony Lawn. Mature trees and landscaping surround the ceremony space, giving it real privacy and shade even in the middle of a Beverly Hills afternoon.
The films, so far
We have made two films at the Four Seasons Beverly Hills: Brian & Ryan, and Joe & Jessica. Two weddings at one property is enough to know how it moves: where the light lands in the garden at each hour, which rooms hold the evening, and how long the walk between them really takes.
Filming here
Because the garden is mature and well shaded, midday ceremonies here film better than at more exposed venues, though we still recommend a late-afternoon slot for the best light through the trees and along that rose-lined aisle.

Planning notes, and a ballroom that sees out

The reason to take this hotel over the other Beverly Hills options is a single architectural detail. The ballroom has floor to ceiling arched windows onto its own garden, so the two halves of your evening can see each other.
- The Ballroom
- Four thousand and eighty square feet. Two hundred and fifty seated for dinner, up to five hundred standing. Crystal chandeliers, marble floors, and arched windows the full height of the room looking into Wetherly Gardens.
- Wetherly Gardens
- Three thousand six hundred and ninety six square feet of planting. The hotel puts ceremonies here at up to one hundred and eighty; a listing quotes two hundred standing. This is the ceremony space, and it is directly outside the ballroom windows.
- Wetherly Pavilion
- Three thousand nine hundred square feet covered, up to two hundred and fifty. Offered through the winter months, which is what makes a January or February date workable here.
- Cost
- Not published by the hotel. One aggregator carries two listings for this hotel and models a wedding from around eighty thousand on one and a hundred and eleven thousand on the other. Neither is a rate, and the two are thirty thousand dollars apart. Get the hotel’s own number for your date before either figure shapes your budget.
- How late
- Not published. The gardens are open air in a dense part of Beverly Hills, so settle the outdoor cutoff separately from the ballroom.
- What windows onto the garden change
- Most hotel weddings are two disconnected films, a bright outdoor ceremony and a dark indoor party, and the join between them is the hardest cut in the edit. Here the ballroom looks straight out at the garden you married in, so the light through those arches carries the color of the ceremony into the reception. We expose for that rather than blacking the windows out, and the two halves of the day end up looking like they happened in the same place, because they did.
