Along the dock.
Alex and Anna were married at Marina Park Community & Sailing Center in Newport Beach, on the harbor side of the Balboa Peninsula. The frame that opens this page is the dock: the two of them walking hand in hand, masts stacked behind them, moored sailboats holding the far edge of the shot, and flat calm water.

Notes on the place.
A marina is a louder place than people expect. Halyards knock against aluminium masts, and on a breezy day that ticking sits underneath anything recorded outdoors, so we plan the audio around it. The other thing to know is that none of this is private ground. The slips serve visiting boaters, the path along the water carries the public, and there is a playground on the same park. We keep the dock work to a short window and move quickly.
