Alex and Lindsay were married at Walnut Grove, the wedding venue on Tierra Rejada Ranch in Moorpark, under the canopy of the walnut trees.
Their portraits were made in the grove itself, under a low branch with the white fence and open lawn behind.
Light through the leaves.
The whole venue sits inside a grove of walnut trees planted on the ranch about fifty years ago, so the light is filtered for most of the day. Sun falls through the leaves in bright patches on the lawn, so we keep the couple in even shade and let the grove do the rest of the work in the background.
