01The Day

Green in the desert.

Cameron and Lindsey were married at Acre Baja, the palm farm and restaurant set back in the valley behind San Jose del Cabo, away from the resort strip entirely.

Their film runs under five minutes and it is the most intimate cut in the archive. Almost all of it is close: hands, faces, the two of them, with the property present but never the point.

02Filming at Acre Baja

Notes on the light.

Acre sits inland from Los Cabos in a valley that is genuinely green, which is disorienting after the drive out through the desert to reach it. Mature palms, dense planting and a lot of shade, which is the opposite of what a Baja wedding usually offers and much kinder to film in. The trade is heat and humidity in the low season, and a long drive from where most guests are staying, so the timeline has to account for the transfer at both ends of the night.
