Jordon and Annie were married at The Hollywood Roosevelt, and the frame we kept for this film is the quiet one: the two of them close together on a terrace, an olive branch crossing the foreground, hillside buildings and greenery stacked up behind. It is a twelve-story hotel on the Walk of Fame, and this is what it looks like once you are above the street.

The Roosevelt opened in 1927 and is still a working hotel, which is the part that shapes a wedding day here more than the history does. Corridors are in use, the lobby is in use, and the building does not pause for you. That is not a complaint. It is why frames made here feel lived in rather than dressed. Practically it means a film at this address is built out of small, well chosen positions instead of big ones: a lens down the length of a corridor, a wide from the far side of the pool deck, a terrace found at the right hour and held for two minutes. The hotel is generous if you arrive knowing where to stand.
