The Gulf Coast sun does something particular in the late afternoon, it comes in low off the water and turns everything to haze and gold. Cody and Lauren stood right in it, and half this film lives in that backlight.
This was a Florida wedding with a California crew: we flew in, found the light, and filmed the day the way we always do, close enough to catch the real moments, far enough that the day stayed theirs. Proof that the approach travels.
On Ca’ d’Zan.
Ca’ d’Zan is the 1920s Venetian Gothic mansion at the heart of The Ringling, a 66-acre bayfront estate in Sarasota. Ceremonies sit on the terrace above Sarasota Bay, where the Venetian arches frame the water and the low sun comes through them warm and even. A short walk away, the Museum of Art Courtyard gives a completely different look: a pink colonnade, bronze statuary, and bougainvillea that read like Italy on film. Rayne is based in Southern California, but we travel for weddings anywhere, Florida included.
Do you film weddings at Ca' d'Zan?
Yes. Ca' d'Zan at The Ringling is one of our favorite Florida venues, and we know it well, from the bayfront terrace above Sarasota Bay to the Museum of Art Courtyard and its pink colonnade. As a Ca' d'Zan wedding videographer we plan the day around the last hour of sun through the Venetian arches, so your wedding film feels the way the day actually felt. We film destination weddings worldwide and travel to Sarasota and Florida regularly.

How soon do we get our wedding film?
Your full cinematic wedding film is delivered in about 8 to 12 weeks. Our two larger collections, The Portrait and The Legacy, also include a shorter teaser of your wedding video, delivered sooner so you have something to share while the full film is edited.
Is there a difference between a wedding film and a wedding video?

Will we notice you during the day?
Barely, and that is the point. We film the day as it actually unfolds rather than staging it, staying close but out of the way, so you are present for your wedding instead of performing for a camera. Most couples tell us they forgot we were filming until they watched their wedding film.
