01The Day

The way it felt.

They stopped at the villa's tiled fountain in the middle of the afternoon, bougainvillea climbing the wall behind them, water running the whole time. It is the single most recognizable corner of the property and it earned the frame.

The reception sat out on the terrace with the canyon dropping away below, blush linens and low florals, and the light stayed warm on the hillside long past when it would have gone flat somewhere less elevated.

02Filming at Villa Verano

On Villa Verano.

Villa Verano is a Spanish-style estate in the Santa Barbara hills, built around terraced gardens, tiled fountains, and canyon views that open up as the property climbs. The turquoise-tiled fountain is its signature, and the elevation means golden hour lingers on the hillside longer than it does closer to the water.
