01The Day

The way it felt.

They held onto each other under the arch the moment the ceremony ended, the ranch's white fence line and rock formations sitting wide open behind them, nothing in the frame that needed dressing.

The reception moved under the oaks as the light went, string lights threaded through the branches overhead. Their wedding party included a cardboard cutout standing in for a friend who could not travel, which tells you most of what you need to know about the two of them.

02Filming at Saddlerock Ranch

On Saddlerock Ranch.

Saddlerock Ranch sits in the Malibu hills, a working ranch with vineyards, oak groves, and dramatic rock outcroppings that give a ceremony a backdrop most venues have to build. The property runs large and open, so wide shots hold real scale, and the oaks throw filtered shade that keeps portraits usable well before golden hour.

QWedding Film & Video, Answered
Do you film weddings at Saddlerock Ranch?

Yes. We've filmed at Saddlerock Ranch and know the property, from where the light is best to how the day moves from ceremony to reception. As a wedding videographer who works across California we plan the coverage around the venue itself, so the film feels specific to where you got married, not generic.

How much does a wedding videographer cost in Malibu?

Our wedding films range from $6,000 for The Moment to $10,000 for The Legacy, our most complete collection. Every collection includes a full cinematic wedding film plus a custom wedding website. You can see everything on our Collections page.

How soon do we get our wedding film?

Your full cinematic wedding film is delivered in about 8 to 12 weeks. Our two larger collections, The Portrait and The Legacy, also include a shorter teaser, delivered sooner so you have something to share while the full film is edited.

Is there a difference between a wedding film and a wedding video?

We'd say yes. A wedding video is a record of what happened. A wedding film is edited with intention, pacing, and your actual vows and speeches woven through it, so it plays more like a short film than a highlight reel. That's what we make.

Will we notice you during the day?

Barely, and that's the point. We film the day as it actually unfolds rather than staging it, staying close but out of the way, so you're present for your wedding instead of performing for a camera. Most couples tell us they forgot we were filming until they watched the film back.
