Shade first.
Don and Katherine were married in Palm Springs in May, at a private property where the planting is dense enough that you would not immediately know you were in the desert.
Theirs is a short film, a little over four minutes, and it stays close throughout. In May the desert is already hot by mid morning, and the day was built around shade and the last hours of the afternoon.
Notes on the light.
Filming in Palm Springs is a scheduling exercise. From late spring the middle of the day is genuinely unworkable outdoors, and the light is hard and overhead on top of the heat. Everything worth having happens in shade or after four. The compensation is that the desert gives an evening unlike anywhere on the coast: no marine layer, a long clean sunset against the San Jacintos, and a sky that stays lit well after the sun has gone.
Do you film weddings at Palm Springs?
Yes. Don and Katherine's wedding film was made there, and you can watch it on this site. Having filmed a place once means we already know how it behaves through the day rather than working it out on the morning.
How much does a wedding videographer cost?

When do we get our wedding film?
About 8 to 12 weeks for the full film. The Portrait and The Legacy also include a shorter teaser, delivered sooner, so you have something to share while the main edit is still running.
Will we notice you during the day?
Barely. We film the day as it happens rather than staging it, staying close but out of the way. Most couples tell us afterwards that they forgot anyone was filming.
