Justin and Mimi were married at the Bel-Air Bay Club in late August 2023. The film opens high over the coast highway and the bluff. Later the two of them meet alone on the club’s curved terrace, at the balustrade with the ocean past it. The ceremony is on the Grand Lawn under an arch of white flowers, palms on both sides and the horizon above the hedge.
The reception moves inside to a white dance floor beneath draped ceilings. The two of them give a toast side by side. The film runs six minutes and forty-two seconds. Watch it with sound.
Notes on the place.
The club has been on the Palisades bluffs since 1927, and the whole property looks west over open water. The ocean sits behind a couple from both the terrace and the lawn. This film’s portraits move between the balustrade with the horizon behind it, a hedged garden path, and a stone wall under climbing vines.
