Matt & Leslie
A cathedral downtown, and the city standing up behind it. Sound on.
Old and new.
Matt and Leslie were married at Vibiana, the former cathedral in downtown Los Angeles, and their portraits were made outside with the towers of the financial district rising directly behind them.
Downtown is the reason to marry at Vibiana rather than somewhere prettier. You get a 19th century interior and a 21st century skyline within the same fifty metres.
Notes on the place.
Vibiana works because of the contrast, and the contrast only shows if you shoot both halves of it. Inside is a former cathedral: white, vaulted, and quiet. Step out and you are on a downtown street with high-rises stacked behind you. Most films made here stay inside and miss half the story. We plan a short walk out for portraits specifically to get the skyline in, and downtown light in the late afternoon bounces off glass towers in a way that is genuinely flattering rather than harsh.
Do you film weddings at Vibiana?
Yes. Matt and Leslie's wedding film was made there, and you can watch it on this site. Having filmed a place once means we already know how it behaves through the day rather than working it out on the morning.
How much does a wedding videographer cost?
Our collections run from $6,000 for The Moment to $10,000 for The Legacy, our most complete collection. Each one is a full cinematic wedding film of your day plus a custom wedding website. Everything is set out on our Collections page.
When do we get our wedding film?
About 8 to 12 weeks for the full film. The Portrait and The Legacy also include a shorter teaser, delivered sooner, so you have something to share while the main edit is still running.
Will we notice you during the day?
Barely. We film the day as it happens rather than staging it, staying close but out of the way. Most couples tell us afterwards that they forgot anyone was filming.
