Nella & Rosario
Nella and Rosario, married at The London West Hollywood. Sound on.

Bright rooms, city below.
Nella and Rosario were married at The London West Hollywood. The frame we chose to open on is the one that says most about filming here: an all-white suite, floor to ceiling glass, pale shelves and low furniture, the two of them standing together in a room with nothing in it that competes.
It runs five minutes and thirty-seven seconds.
Notes on the place.
The London is an easy building to film in and a deceptive one to light. The suites are bright and pale, which flatters a face near the glass and abandons it three meters in, so the opening of any film made here is really a decision about how close you are prepared to work. Downstairs, the Kensington Ballroom is a versatile room rather than a decorated one, which means the reception looks like whatever you and your lighting designer decide it looks like. The roof changes character entirely between six and nine, from an exposed deck with the sun still up to a dark terrace with a city switched on behind it. Plan for two different films up there rather than one.
