Randy and Denise were married at Pelican Hill, under a draped arch on the event lawn, and their ceremony ended with white doves released over the aisle.
What is on this page is their teaser rather than the full film, a little over four minutes of it. A teaser is not a trailer for something better, it is the day at its most concentrated.
Notes on the place.
A dove release is one of the few things at a wedding that cannot be repeated, cannot be rehearsed and lasts about three seconds. There is exactly one place to stand for it, which is far enough back to hold both the couple and the sky in frame. Get it wrong and you have birds and no faces, or faces and no birds. It is the kind of moment that rewards knowing the property well enough that you are not still choosing an angle when it happens.
