Ben & Catherine
An unplugged ceremony beneath the redwoods, a wooden cross wrapped in blush and ivory florals, and a couple who asked their guests to put phones away and just be there.

The way it felt.
A wooden cross wrapped in blush and ivory florals stood beneath the redwoods, and Ben and Catherine asked their guests to keep phones away and just be present for it.
It is a genuinely quiet way to get married, no sea of phones raised over the aisle, and it changes how the ceremony feels on camera too, more intimate, less performed. We filmed it exactly the way they asked, close and unobtrusive.
On Calamigos Ranch.
Calamigos Ranch sits in Malibu Canyon, a working ranch turned event property with redwood groves, olive trees, and a lake at its center. It is one of the most genuinely rustic venues we film in Los Angeles, real wood and real trees rather than a designed approximation of them, and the canyon holds cool, filtered light well into the afternoon even on a hot Malibu day.
