Garrison & Meredith
A resort garden in November, and two people not noticing anyone else. Sound on.
Low November.
Garrison and Meredith were married at the Four Seasons in Westlake Village in November, when the gardens there are still full and the light comes in low and long across them from the middle of the afternoon.
We spent their portrait time in the planting rather than out on the open lawn. Roses, deep green, and a lot of shade to work with, which is exactly what you want when the sun is that low and that direct.
Notes on the light.
The gardens at Four Seasons Westlake Village are the reason to film here, and they behave differently by season. In summer the open lawn is the star and the light lasts. In late autumn the sun drops early and comes in almost horizontally, which flattens the lawn but lights the planted borders beautifully, so we move portraits off the grass and into the beds. Knowing which of those two days you are having changes where we stand all afternoon.
Do you film weddings at Four Seasons Westlake Village?
Yes. Garrison and Meredith's wedding film was made there, and you can watch it on this site. Having filmed a place once means we already know how it behaves through the day rather than working it out on the morning.
How much does a wedding videographer cost?
Our collections run from $6,000 for The Moment to $10,000 for The Legacy, our most complete collection. Each one is a full cinematic wedding film of your day plus a custom wedding website. Everything is set out on our Collections page.
When do we get our wedding film?
About 8 to 12 weeks for the full film. The Portrait and The Legacy also include a shorter teaser, delivered sooner, so you have something to share while the main edit is still running.
Will we notice you during the day?
Barely. We film the day as it happens rather than staging it, staying close but out of the way. Most couples tell us afterwards that they forgot anyone was filming.
