01The Day

Away from the lawn.

Tal and Deanna were married at Calamigos Ranch, and their portraits were made out on the ranch road under one of the older oaks, the kind with a canopy wide enough to stand a whole wedding party under.

Their film runs a little over eight minutes and takes its time. The oaks are the reason to walk away from the ceremony site here, and it is worth the ten minutes it costs.

02Filming at Calamigos Ranch

Notes on the place.

Calamigos is large, and most couples never leave the site they booked. The ranch roads that connect the properties run under mature oaks the whole way, and five minutes of walking gets you a completely different film: dirt, dappled canopy, and no event infrastructure in frame. We always ask for that walk. It is the cheapest upgrade available on this property and almost nobody plans for it.

QWedding Film & Video, Answered
Do you film weddings at Calamigos Ranch?

Yes. Tal and Deanna’'s wedding film was made there, and you can watch it on this site. Having filmed a place once means we already know how it behaves through the day rather than working it out on the morning.

How much does a wedding videographer cost?

Our collections run from $6,000 for The Moment to $10,000 for The Legacy, our most complete collection. Each one is a full cinematic wedding film of your day plus a custom wedding website. Everything is set out on our Collections page.

When do we get our wedding film?

About 8 to 12 weeks for the full film. The Portrait and The Legacy also include a shorter teaser, delivered sooner, so you have something to share while the main edit is still running.

Will we notice you during the day?

Barely. We film the day as it happens rather than staging it, staying close but out of the way. Most couples tell us afterwards that they forgot anyone was filming.
